Choicelunch
We had a few parents vote in favor of keeping Choicelunch program for next school year. No parents voted against the 20 cents increase. I signed the Choice Food Service Agreement for the 2011-2012 school year.

Thursday, June 9 will be the last day for the Choicelunch program. 

Book Fair
Our Buy One, Get One Free Book Fair is here until Thursday, June 2. The store will be opened from 8:30-3:30. This is a                                                                          great opportunity for students to stock up with great books for summer reading.

School Supply List
Teachers are up dating the school supply list for the 2011-2012 school year. On Tuesday, June 7 a copy of the supply list will be included in the family envelope.

Kinder Last Day of School
Thursday, June 9 is the last day for our kinder students. Students will have a short program at 9:00 a.m. in the parish hall. Students will have refreshments, be given their report cards and then will be dismissed from the parish hall at about 10:30 a.m.

Last Day of School
Friday, June 10 our students will attend Mass at 9:00 a.m. Installation of our new student council members will be immediately  after the end of the school year Mass. Students will return to class about 10:30, be given their reports card and will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m

Safety Valet
We want to thank the parents who continue to help during morning valet. We know that many of these parents have completed their service hours for this school year and are working simply for the safety of our students.                            

Adelante Award
Congratulations to 8th graders Isabeau Reyes and Patrick Quadra who received the Adelante Award from Councilman Jose Huizar at a luncheon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Sunday. Councilman Huizar presents the Adelante Award to top
academic students who also show a commitment to service who are graduating from schools in his district of the city.

Sister Cristina Marie
We are sad to announce that Sr. Cristina Marie, second grade teacher, will not return to St. Dominic for our next school year. She will be serving as a teacher in Buseesa, Uganda.
