Walk-a-Thon
The Walk-a-Thon event has been moved back to a school day to allow all students and teachers to participate. This is your first $75.00 mandatory fundraiser. The $75 is due by Friday, Oct. 4.

Families wanting to promote their business on the back of the Walk-a-Thon shirt can pick up a sponsor sheet in the school office.

The students will be given a T-Shirt for this event. If you would like to pre-order a t-shirt for other family members, they are $10. Please submit an order form by Oct. 4. All students will receive a hamburger, cheese burger or hot dog meal at no charge. If you wish to order additional lunches for other family members, the lunches are $4. Please submit the preorder form by Friday, Oct. 4.

Donation items are being accepted through Friday, Oct. 4. We also are requesting Smart & Final gift cards. Save your receipts for service hour credit. All donations can be used for service hours. Each $20 purchase or donation equals 1 hour service credit.

T-shirt Design Winners
Congratulations to Kindergartener, Maggie Martin, winner of the design contest for the 2013 Walk-a-Thon t-shirt for the lower grades. Congratulations to 5th graders Isaiah Galvez and Aidan Gravino, winners of the upper grade t-shirt contest.

Parking Lot
The church parking lot will be resurfaced and relined this week, Sept. 30 to Oct. 4. Parents will have to find alternate parking on the streets. Morning Valet drop-off will continue as scheduled each morning from 7:40-8:00 a.m.

Family Survey
Please take the time to fill in the enclosed Family Survey. All you need to do is circle the YES or NO after each question. Your answers will be strictly CONFIDENTIAL. Only I will use this information. Names are optional and will not be given to anyone; however you need to include your home address and grade of your children enrolled in our school. This information is very important. It will help us continue our participation in Title I supplemental educational programs, such as reading programs that help our children. Your tax dollars are paying for these programs. We also apply for E-rate every year to receive a phone, internet and cable discount. Please help us to keep them. Please return this survey by Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Halloween Carnival Meeting
Mrs. Renee Galvez, chairperson, and the Halloween Committee will have their first meeting on Thursday Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. If you signed up to participate on this committee, please come to the meeting.

Parents may sign up to work at the fiesta starting Wednesday, Oct. 2 after 3:00 p.m. in the school office.
