Shakey’s
Join us tomorrow Wednesday, September 14, from 5-8:00 p.m. at Shakey’s Pizza. Invite your family and friends to this fun time.
We will receive proceeds for in house or take out orders.
You will need to identify yourself as participating for St. Dominic School .
Uniform Exchange
Mrs. Galarion, uniform chairperson, will be available for uniform exchange this Thursday, Sept. 15 from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.
Gray physical education t-shirts and gray sweatshirts will be sold.
Cookie Dough
We have a few days left to sell cookie dough! Cookie dough fundraiser ends this Friday, September 16.
Please support our school by purchasing one case (6 tubs) per family.
Family Mass
Join us this Saturday, Sept. 17 for our first Family Mass of this school year. Our eighth grade students and parents are encouraged to attend the 5:00 p.m. Family Mass.
After Mass we will meet for light refreshments in the school lunch area.
ITBS Testing
We begin ITBS testing on Monday, Sept. 19. Grades 2 to 8 will start testing at 8:15 a.m.
Remember to have your child:
- go to bed early
- have breakfast
- come to school on time
- appointments for the afternoon.
Student Store
Our student store is now opened. We sell during morning recess time only.
All items are sold for 50 cents. We sell chocolate milk, vanilla and chocolate ice cream cups, popsicles, Gatorade, cheese and butter popcorn, cookies, sun chips, and fruit roll ups.
NEW SCRIP!!!
Union 76 Gas Cards have joined the scrip program and will be available in $25.00 increments beginning Friday, Sept. 16.
Preschool
We are ready to open our preschool in October.
We would appreciate any toys, books, large stuffed animals, Halloween costumes, etc. that your child has outgrown.
Parking Lot
We want to make you aware that some of our parents noticed men walking and looking into cars.
Please lock your car and place important items out of sight or in the trunk.
Title I Parent Workshops
Parents, are you interested in assisting your child with their studies? Starting next Tuesday, Sept. 20 we start a series of four workshops provided by Title I funds that will assist you and your child.
The four workshops for parents are as following: Learning Styles, Developing Your Child’s Problem Solving Skills, Reading With Your Child, and Writing With Your Child.
We encourage all parents to join us in the library for any or all of these four workshops. Please refer to the flyer by Catapult Learning.
School Choir
Please turn in survey forms to the school office or Mr. Acosta (during music class).
Choir will tentatively start Tuesday Sept. 20. Please wait for personal confirmation (letter sent home). Thanks!

Preschool Restrooms
We want to thank Mr. Koenig for his work with plumbing and lowering of our sinks to meet preschool requirements.
We want to thank Mr. Perez for replacing tiles, and repairing dry wall in the preschool restrooms.
Tutoring
After school tutoring will start this week. Students from Cathedral High School and Immaculate Heart of Mary High School will tutor Monday to Thursday from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.
Teachers have referred students for math and reading comprehension tutoring. We also take parent referrals.
