See’s Candies
See’s Candies order forms should be turned in to the front office by Wednesday, March 21st.
See’s Candies will be delivered on Monday, March 26. Thank you for supporting our Parent Teacher Organization for this fundraiser.
Discovering Our Faith
Join us tonight for a lecture on Continuous Prayer: The Jesus Prayer and the Rosary.
Our meeting will be held in the Religious Education classroom, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Please read CCC2650-2679 from the Cathechism of the Catholic Church.
Tuition Increase
Last year there was no tuition increase. This year there will be an increase in tuition to cover cost of living, increase in benefits, and increase in operational expenses.
At the PTO meeting a tuition increase break down was introduced to parents. The break down included the music and physical education programs and an introduction of a foreign language program. I introduced what it would cost to keep the music and P.E program and the Spanish, if accepted by the parents.
This year the Spanish program has been a topic of discussion in our faculty meetings and PTO board meetings. The discussion has been about cost, time allotment, and whether is can be introduced during the day or after school.
I gave a detailed account of what it would cost for one child, two children, and three or more children to support 3 programs, teacher salaries, benefits, and operational expense increase.
Please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5XGZD29 and complete the survey. The survey will close on Monday, March 26. Your input is important.
Mission and Philosophy
We want to thank our parents for participating in the discussion of our mission statement and philosophy at our last Parent Teacher Organization meeting.
The purpose of reviewing our mission and philosophy was to reflect and renew our commitment to who we say we are and what we do.
Religious Education Congress
There is no school this Friday, March 23. Teachers and staff are at the Religious Congress in Anaheim.
Teachers will attend religious workshops on social justice, and sacrament preparation. Teachers will also have workshops on how Common Core state standards and technology can best support the language arts, and grammar for writing and vocabulary.
Uniform Exchange
Stephanie Galarion will have uniform exchange and PTO apparel next Tuesday, March 27. Uniform exchange will be at 7:45 am. and 3:00 p.m. in the daycare room.

Food for Family Thought
When you’re stressed, your imagination can help. Call to mind sounds that calm you—a babbling brook, birds chirping, a favorite song—and let them lead you
to an inner place where you can hear the still, small voice of God.
Suppose that twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, you had to hear a background noise in your head. This background noise would always be there
throughout your life. What background noise would you choose as your very own?
