Progress Reports
Every student will receive a progress report on Friday, September 28. This is a great opportunity for teachers and parents to communicate. If parents have concerns, now is the time to call or email the teacher regarding grades, behavior or effort.

Gradelink
Parents are able to check grades for their child on Gradelink. New families received a welcome letter to Gradelink with instructions and a password. If you use the incorrect password 3 or more times the system will lock you out of Gradelink.

If you need assistance with your password please call Ms. Angela at 323-255-5803.

Cookie Dough
The cookie dough fundraiser ends on Tuesday, September 25.

This continues to be one of the most successful fundraisers of the school year.
The computers in the lab, teacher laptops, and SMARTboards were purchase with cookie dough profits.

Iowa Assessment
Yesterday, Monday, September 17, students started the Iowa Assessments.

Testing begins at 8:10 a.m. Please make sure your child gets to school on time. Students who arrive late to school are asked to sit in school office until the class finishes testing for that morning.

Please make sure that your child gets a good night’s sleep and has breakfast if they normally have breakfast during the assessments.

Please schedule your child’s doctor and dentist appointments for the afternoon during the Iowa Assessment.

Make-up testing will occur on September 26th to 27th.

School Choir
I am having surgery at the end of September and will be out for a few weeks. As soon as I am back – hopefully in mid-October – we can begin our school choir this year.

Music
An order form for precorders/recorders and music books were passed out this week to grades 2-8.  It is due by next week so I can place the order before I have surgery.

Goodwill Fundraiser
GOODWILL Fundraiser, a SUCCESS !!   The 100 degree weather on Saturday did not stop the Marketing Team and 17 eighth grade volunteers as well as 17 parent volunteers who came out to help load the truck.  One truck was 85% filled with bags/boxes and the other was 55% filled with bulk items/E-waste.  That means that the Marketing Team made their goal of filling ONE truck!!  We want to especially thank ALL of the school families and friends who donated items and helped us with this effort.

We want to thank Fr. Peter and his staff for allowing the school the use of the parish Community Center in order to store everything throughout July, August, and September.  We appreciate your support!

Office Lunch Hours
A friendly reminder that the school office is closed every day during the lunch hour from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Please call after 1:00 p.m. as no one is available to answer the phones.
