Student Council Red Ribbon Week Activities:
Say No To Drugs
Tuesday: Hugs not Drugs Day - Students may
bring a favorite stuffed animal (not too big) to hug.
Wednesday: Students may wear jeans and a red shirt and red
accessories such as hats, socks, shoes, etc. There is no cost to wear jeans,
red shirt, and accessories.
Thursday: Student Council will sell pre-ordered Red Nachos
for $1.50.
Halloween Carnival
Students are to come to school
dressed in their Halloween costumes on Fri. Oct. 26. Students should wear
athletic shoes with their costumes.
Guns, swords, or weapons of
any type are NOT ALLOWED with the costumes.
Students will be given a
trick or treat bag. All games are FREE for all students.
Please send money for
students to purchase Halloween desserts. Cookies, brownies, and cupcakes will
be sold for .50 cents to $1.00.
Kindergarten-2nd
grade will go out to play games at the carnival from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., 3rd-5th
grades will come out from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.,, and 6th-8th
grades will come out from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.
St. Dominic Preschool, Lutheran Preschool, and Pathway
Preschool will join us during the Halloween Carnival.
Every grade will come for the
costume parade at 10:30 a.m.. The raffle will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Good/Bad Touch Program
On Mon. Oct. 29, teachers will
begin teaching the Good/Bad Touch program. Students need written permission to
participate in this safety program.
Students without permission
to participate in Good Touch/Bad Touch
will sit in the school office during their religion class and work on written
work. If you have any questions, call the office at (323) 255-5803.
Picture Day - Nov. 1
You are now able to place
your child’s school photo order online before
Picture Day. If you prefer to order with the form, the order form is included
in this week’s Family Envelope.
All students, including the
preschoolers, will take their school picture on Thu. Nov.1.The photographer
will begin with preschool at 8:30 a.m.
Students are to wear their complete uniform and their green
St. Dominic sweater for picture day. Students
should NOT wear their P.E. uniform.
Make-up picture date is Wed.
Dec. 5.
All Saints Day
Thu. Nov. 1 is a holy day of
obligation. We will celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints Mass at 9:00 a.m.
Please remember to have your child bring a donation for the collection.
Students are to wear their
school uniform. Students should wear their skirts/jumpers or long pants (no
shorts).

Academic Decathlon
We need parents to coach for the
academic decathlon! Please contact the school office at (323) 255-5803 if you
are interested.
Parents can earn service
hours for coaching during the decathlon studies. You must be fingerprinted and have
completed Virtus.
Sizzler Night
Sizzler will be mailing us a check for $336.29 in two
weeks. Thank you all for your help in making this event happen.

enjoyable and successful!
