Choice Lunch
Sixth grade parents – it’s your opportunity to volunteer to serve lunch for the month of October. You earn lunch credit for your child when you volunteer.

Parent volunteers need to have been fingerprinted and have attended a Virtus class.

Living Rosary
In honor of Our Lady of the Rosary we will have our traditional prayer service of the Living Rosary on Monday, October 8 at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

Cookie Dough
The cookie dough fundraiser has been extended for an additional week! Please submit your order forms by this Friday, Oct. 5.

Mrs. Matas will order the cookie dough on Friday. It should take about two weeks to arrive. The estimated delivery is the week of Oct. 22, just in time to bake Halloween cookies for treat-or-trick!

Parish Picnic
Order your FREE lunch tickets for the Annual Parish Picnic which is this Saturday, October 6, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Eagle Rock Park. Tickets are available in the parish office.

The Parish Council needs to have an accurate count of people attending the picnic to provide every person with food.

Children will enjoy some fun games monitored by the parish Youth Group.

High School Nights
Because it is impossible for representatives from the Catholic high schools to attend a High School Night at every Catholic elementary school, our deanery will host two High School Nights:

Holy Trinity will host a High School Night on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

Incarnation in Glendale will host a High School Night on Thursday, Oct. 25.

Enclosed is the Los Angeles Private School Guide for the High School Open Houses.

Safe Kids Assembly
Parents, please remember to submit the walking permission slip if you want your child to participate in the walking part of tomorrow’s assembly. We have permission slips for 70% of the students.

The students will walk with representatives from law enforcement on Maywood to Colorado Blvd., to Eagle Rock Blvd., and finally back to Merton Ave. and enter into our school playground for the assembly.

The assembly starts at 8:30 a.m.

Center for the Arts
The afterschool enrichment art program incorporated into our existing daycare program is FREE for the 11 students that registered by Friday, September 28.

The 7 non-daycare students who were are on the waiting list need to register by this Friday, October 5, for a fee of $30. Only 6 spots are available to join the class. Available spots are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Scrip
Mrs. Manning and the hard working scrip team will sell scrip on Sunday, October 14, before and after the Masses.

Please come and help us out by purchasing scrip cards for your favorite restaurants and stores. Scrip has gas cards, too. Scrip cards make great birthday gifts or you can even get a jump on your Christmas shopping!

Preschool & Kinder Family Mass
The room parents will contact the preschool and kinder parents to invite and encourage you to participate in this once a year Mass and potluck activity.

Students and parents will have their first Family Mass on Saturday, October 20 at 5:00 p.m.

After Mass you will come across to the school lunch area and have a potluck dinner, get to know each other and build community.
