Choice Lunch
Sixth grade parents – it’s
your opportunity to volunteer to serve lunch for the month of October. You earn
lunch credit for your child when you volunteer.
Parent volunteers need to
have been fingerprinted and have attended a Virtus class.
Living Rosary
In honor of Our Lady of the
Rosary we will have our traditional prayer service of the Living Rosary on
Monday, October 8 at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
Cookie Dough
The cookie dough fundraiser
has been extended for an additional week! Please submit your order forms by
this Friday, Oct. 5.
Mrs. Matas will order the
cookie dough on Friday. It should take about two weeks to arrive. The estimated
delivery is the week of Oct. 22, just in time to bake Halloween cookies for treat-or-trick!
Parish Picnic
Order your FREE lunch tickets
for the Annual Parish Picnic which is this Saturday, October 6, 11:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. at Eagle
Rock Park.
Tickets are available in the parish office.
The Parish Council needs to
have an accurate count of people attending the picnic to provide every person
with food.
Children will enjoy some fun
games monitored by the parish Youth Group.
High School Nights
Because it is impossible for representatives
from the Catholic high schools to attend a High School Night at every Catholic
elementary school, our deanery will host two High School Nights:
Holy Trinity will host a High
School Night on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Incarnation in Glendale will host a High
School Night on Thursday, Oct. 25.

Safe Kids Assembly
Parents, please remember to
submit the walking permission slip if you want your child to participate in the
walking part of tomorrow’s assembly. We have permission slips for 70% of the
students.
The students will walk with
representatives from law enforcement on Maywood
to Colorado Blvd.,
to Eagle Rock Blvd.,
and finally back to Merton Ave.
and enter into our school playground for the assembly.
The assembly starts at 8:30
a.m.
Center for the Arts
The afterschool enrichment
art program incorporated into our existing daycare program is FREE for the 11
students that registered by Friday, September 28.
The 7 non-daycare students who
were are on the waiting list need to register by this Friday, October 5, for a
fee of $30. Only 6 spots are available to join the class. Available spots are
on a first-come, first-served basis.
Scrip
Mrs. Manning and the hard
working scrip team will sell scrip on Sunday, October 14, before and
after the Masses.
Please come and help us out
by purchasing scrip cards for your favorite
restaurants and stores. Scrip has gas
cards, too. Scrip cards make great
birthday gifts or you can even get a jump on your Christmas shopping!
Preschool & Kinder Family
Mass
The room parents will contact
the preschool and kinder parents to invite and encourage you to participate in
this once a year Mass and potluck activity.
Students and parents will
have their first Family Mass on Saturday, October 20 at 5:00 p.m.
After Mass you will come
across to the school lunch area and have a potluck dinner, get to know each
other and build community.
